In the book of Ecclesiastes (1:9), King Solomon wrote that “what has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” Two women came before him claiming to be the mother of the same child. To settle the dispute, Solomon offered to cut the child in half and give each woman their fair share.
Of course, the real mother immediately gave up her rights in order to save the child’s life, revealing the true heritage of the baby.
Judge Judy encountered a similar case. Faced with two parties claiming ownership for a single dog, she took an approach that Solomon would be proud of.
She let the dog decide.
Watch and see if you could disagree with the verdict.
Doesn’t it do the heart good?
